A COMMON PASSION FOR ART AND GREAT WINES

The Domaine Le Château La Grâce Dieu des Prieurs combines tradition and modernity.

Respect for the heritage of French wine traditions, combined with the use of modern tools to produce exceptional wines, is at the heart of this project.

The Le Château vineyard is located halfway between the steeples of Saint-Émilion and Pomerol, on an exceptional terroir.

The complex soil is composed of brown sands, clay and limestone, rich in ferrous oxides.

The La Grâce Dieu des Prieurs estate covers 8.5 hectares, divided into several plots.

It is made up of 90% Merlot (red), 10% Cabernet Franc (red) and 1 hectare of Chardonnay (white). In total, more than 60,000 vines enable the production of 35,000 bottles under the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation.

The Wine The magnum box of Château La Grâce Dieu des Prieurs - Russian Art is made of cast acrylic glass.

It highlights the beauty of the bottle while complementing the whole, drawing attention to the artwork.

The Russian Art Collection magnum is decorated with a 13th special work of art.

For the 2015 vintage, the chosen work is "La Ballade partisane (1969)" by Mai Dantsig.

The military theme occupies a special place in the art of this Belarusian painter, as well as in the life of every Belarusian citizen, a country which suffered heavy losses during the Second World War and where partisan resistance against the Nazis was massive and tireless. "La Ballade partisane" is an interpretation of an exemplary Roman scene where a woman named Pero breastfeeds her father Cimon after he has been imprisoned and condemned to starve. Like Pero, Dantsig's partisan saves a wounded warrior abandoned on the battlefield and doomed to die.

In the USSR in 1969, this work was considered a pure provocation against the background of the dogmas of socialist realism. The 2015 vintage was grown on an area of 8 hectares, with vines averaging 40 years old.
