AN EXCEPTIONAL STORY
More than a yacht. A piece of history.
Built in 1921 for Horace Dodge, co-founder of Dodge Brothers, SS Delphine was one of the most ambitious private yachts of its time.
Throughout its history, the yacht has led several exceptional lives. After sinking in New York Harbor in 1926, it was salvaged and restored.
During the Second World War, it was requisitioned by the US Navy and became the USS Dauntless, flagship of Admiral Ernest J. King.
In 1945, it notably hosted Franklin D. Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, Harry Truman and Vyacheslav Molotov.
After several decades and a major restoration, SS Delphine was reintroduced to the world of yachting in 2003, before celebrating its centenary in 2021.
